There was a lot of ice and fog around the country this morning, which created hazardous driving conditions as the country returned to work.
Temperatures plunged to -2C and -3C at times overnight, with widespread hard frost and freezing fog in sheltered areas.
Monday’s weather is expected to be largely dry, with bright spells and temperatures rising to 8C at best before deep cold returns on Monday night.
