The HSE really are putting pressure on the Irish public not to do what they’d normally do over Christmas by meeting people, enjoying themselves and having general fun without thinking about the pandemic.
Professor Martin Cormican warned that people need to start implementing new measures that will see themselves stay safe and not contract or spread covid-19 to loved ones and friends.
Cormican said that the Irish public should only meet people indoors that they literally trust with their life. Likewise the HSE said that if people are
taking risks this weekend and then go and meet people next weekend – that they’re putting their life at risk.
From today, people can travel all over the country and up to 3 households can meet together which will inevitably see numbers spiral over the coming weeks.
