The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that he has no plans to go anywhere after recent reports suggested that he could become the next President of the European Commission.
According to RTÉ News, the Taoiseach said that he was flattered by the link, but reiterated that he has no plans for a career change.
The Taoiseach also said that he has a job as the Taoiseach of Ireland and he is loving it.
He added that he was only getting started in his position, before stating that Ireland’s representative in the EU will be discussed by the cabinet.
The Taoiseach’s comments come after recent reports suggested that he could be in line for a top position as the EU commission contemplates a reshuffle.
