Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange warning for heavy rainfall ahead of the arrival of Storm Francis later today.
The warning, which will be in place from 9pm tonight until 5pm on Tuesday, covers the whole of Connacht, plus counties Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, and Waterford.
The weather system comes hot on the heels of Storm Ellen, which caused widespread power cuts and other damage last week.
