Incredible: Girl born with no blood in her veins starts first day in school in Waterford

This little wonderful girl has just started school, but she’s a little different to the other school kids on their first day.

Maisy Vignes was born with no blood in her veins, nothing. She was born in December 2009, six weeks premature. She was starved of oxygen while in her mother’s womb and because of this, she was born with no blood being pumped around her body.

She underwent 3 blood transfusions and was in intensive care for a long time.

But little Maisy has beaten the odds and surpirsed all her doctors by reaching full health and starting her first day in primary school in Tramore, Co. Waterford this morning.

Her mother Emma said she is “delighted as is Maisy”.

Well done Maisy, an incredible achievement!
