Police in Perth, Australia, have arrested a man after he was caught raping a girl under the age of 13 whilst she slept in her bed.
According to Perth Now, the man who has been since identified as Daniel Altieri, 29, was caught by the girl’s father who tackled him upon discovering him stabbing over his young daughter.
It is alleged that Altieri, broke into the house in the early hours of Saturday morning and proceeded to attack the young girl who was asleep in her bed.
However upon hearing the noise coming from the girl’s bedroom, her father came into the room and tackled and held down Aliteri until police arrived.
It is understood the girl was taken to hospital for treatment, but has since been released back into the care of her family.
Meanwhile Aliteri, who also required hospital treatment has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual penetration of a child under 13, attempted sexual penetration of a child under 13, three counts of aggravated indecent dealing of a child under 13, aggravated burglary and threaten to kill.
He is currently being held in police custody and is due to appear in court again on March 18th.
