Investigation continues after man (30s) dies in collision involving e-scooter in Blanchardstown




A man in his 30s has died after a collision between a car and an e-scooter in Dublin Sunday night, reports RTE.

The incident happened on the Old Navan Road in Blanchardstown at approximately 10.50pm.

The man, who had been riding the e-scooter, was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where he was later pronounced dead, reports RTE.

No other individuals were injured.

The road was temporarily closed for a forensic examination but has since been reopened.

Gardaí are asking for witnesses to come forward, especially drivers with camera footage (such as dash-cams) who were in the area between 10.40pm and 11pm. Anyone with information is urged to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any local garda station, reports RTE.
