Investigation continues after two Dublin schools evacuated following major gas leak




A significant gas leak has forced the evacuation of two Dublin schools, reports Breaking News.

Following a gas main explosion close to Esker Drive in Lucan, the Dublin Fire Brigade stated that it is collaborating with Gas Networks Ireland.

On Monday morning, St. Thomas’ and Scoil Áine Naofa safely evacuated themselves, and at 9:58 a.m., the situation was declared secure, reports Breaking News.

There are still limits on traffic.

Gas Networks Ireland said: “At 9:14am today, October 7th, Gas Networks Ireland responded immediately to a report of third-party damage to a gas pipeline in Lucan, Co. Dublin. Gas Networks Ireland staff arrived on site at 9:28am and the situation was made safe at 9:58am,” reports Breaking News.
