An investigation has begun after the body of a woman was found in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.
The body was discovered close to the Holy Year Cross, about 2km south of the town, shortly before 3pm yesterday afternoon, reports RTE.
The Office of the State Pathologist has been asked to provide its services.
Gardaà said a post-mortem examination on the woman’s body will determine how their investigation proceeds, reports RTE.
The local coroner has been informed of the discovery.
Garda Technical Bureau officers are currently carrying out an examination of the scene, reports RTE.
