Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after a man was shot in West Dublin on Tuesday evening.
It is understood the investigation comes after the man aged in his 20s was shot in Shancastle Park in Clondalkin at approximately 8:45pm last night.
Gardaí say the man was taken to Connolly Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
