The ongoing issue of knife crime in the UK has seen another dark day as an 86 year old woman was sadly killed in a stabbing incident in Birmingham.
Police investigating the incident say the elderly woman was tragically killed in the incident which occurred at a house on Aubrey Road, in Small Heath, on Thursday morning.
It is understood that an 18 year old man was rushed to hospital after receiving a number of stab wounds during the incident, whilst another man also sustained minor injuries.
Although it is not yet known how the stabbings occurred, officers investigating the incident say they are currently trying to determine the motives behind the attacks.
It is understood a number of attempts were made by paramedics to resuscitate the elderly woman, but she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
