An investigation is underway this morning after a man sustained minor injuries in helicopter crash in Co Longford last night.
The crash occurred late yesterday evening after the small aircraft man was flying hit the function room of the Rustic Inn Bar near the airfield in Abbeyshrule. Gardai say the pilot was not seriously injured in the crash but significant structural damage has been caused to the walls of the restaurant.
It is understood that there were two men on board the aircraft when it crashed but no one sustained severe injuries.
