Gardai looking into a possible arson attack at a former school in County Tipperary have stated that they are aware of “possible misinformation” regarding the building’s usage, which surfaced on social media only after the fire, reports RTE.
At 9:20 p.m. last night, emergency services received a call about a fire at the former Patrician National School located on Rocklow Road in Fethard.
After fighting the fire for almost three hours, three Clonmel fire department units—including a lifting platform—and a Cashel water tender put it out just after midnight.
The building sustained significant damage, but no one was hurt, reports RTE.
