The Beast from the East may bypass Ireland this time around, but another spell of miserable weather is upon us nonetheless.
The national forecaster has said that Ireland is about to be punished by heavy rain, sleet, and thunder over the coming days.
There will be heavy and prolonged rain showers from later on today, with temperatures reaching 9C at best.
Wednesday is expected to be rather cold and blustery, with hail and sleet showers likely and temperatures hovering at around 8C.
The weather will remain very unsettled until Friday at least.
