Ireland has now taken in over 33,000 Ukrainians – all entitled to free medical cards and free social welfare including the dole

As up to 10,000 of our own people lie homeless around the country with not a roof over their heads in many cases, Micheal Martin, Leo Varadkar and Eamon Ryan appear to be prioritising those who never even stepped foot in Ireland before 2022.

Ireland has reportedly taken in over 33,000 Ukrainian refugees so far. All of these people are entitled to free medical cards and social welfare.

According to official figures, a total of 25,173 individuals displaced by the war in Ukraine are now housed in Ireland.

Over 30,000 are expected to arrive by the end of May, but there are nowhere near enough housing units to actually shelter them, so it’s unclear what the Government plans to do.
