A string of violent weather systems has been battering Ireland over the last few weeks.
Desmond left devastation and misery earlier this month, followed by Eva. And Frank now is set to administer the knock-out punch with ‘exceptionally high’ Atlantic waves, according to forecasters.
The new storm will make landfall on Tuesday, bringing heavy rain and strong, southeasterly winds.
The eye of the storm will move northwards out to sea by Wednesday, but spells of heavy rain will linger on for a time.
The general outlook is for changeable weather up to the end of the year.
