A man in his 30s has been seriously injured following an alleged assault in Limerick city.

The incident took place in the Old Cratloe Road area at 10.30 am on Saturday, March 28, reports Breaking News.

The injured man was treated at St John’s Hospital and University Hospital Limerick.

An Garda Síochána have appealed for witnesses to come forward, reports Breaking News.

Anyone who was in the Shannonvale estate, Old Cratloe Road or Brookville Avenue areas of Limerick between 10am and 11am that morning is asked to assist.

Gardaí have requested that any available video footage, including dash-cam recordings, be provided to investigators, reports Breaking News.

They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen or interacted with a VW Golf in the area at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Mayorstone Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda station, reports Breaking News.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, according to gardaí, reports Breaking News.
