Ireland next? Panic buying sees long queues as the British Government says ‘Britain is not running out of petrol of diesel’ – they just have a ‘driver shortage’

BP, which runs some 1,200 petrol stations across Britain have had to close some of their stations, along with Tesco petrol stations as ‘panic buying’ is happening up and and down the country.

The government says that a small number of deliveries have been missed due to a driver shortage and thus the shortage on forecourts has happened.

UK government officials says the problem is Covid with some 40,000 driving tests not taking place since the start of the pandemic.

However, it would appear that it makes no difference to drivers around Britain as queues of up to 30 minutes to get fuel has been seen at a number of garages.
