The HSE have confirmed that third Covid-19 vaccine doses will be given to people who are immunocompromised next week.
Speaking to RTE, Paul Reid announced that the programme which is expected to last six weeks will be begin next week.
Reid said that the HSE will be in contact with patients from Wednesday and the vaccination programme is expected to start on Friday.
It is expected that people with serious underlying medical conditions will be contacted about the vaccine.
