Met Éireann has issued low temperature and ice warnings for the entire Ireland, with a yellow alert status, reports The Mirror.

These severe weather alerts were released just before 10 a.m on Sunday, and will be valid from 7 p.m on Sunday until 11 a.m on Monday.

In addition, the Met Office in the United Kingdom has issued another yellow status weather warning of snow and ice for Northern Ireland, which will be active between 3 a.m and 11.59 p.m on Monday, reports The Mirror.

The first of the two weather alerts issued by Met Éireann on Sunday morning applies to counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo.

“Very cold overnight and early Monday morning with the danger of icy patches. Some freezing fog patches locally also. A few sleet or snow showers in place,” reads the warning on the Met Éireann website, reports The Mirror.
