Met Éireann has said that today, Wednesday the 5h of August will be mostly cloudy and it will occasionally rain
in all areas.
Rain will be heavy and some areas are at risk of thunder.
Maximum temperatures are said to reach 18 degrees celsius and a strong breeze is also expected throughout the country.
Later on, the day will clear up, but showers are expected to recommence tonight.
Scattered showers are expected to continue throughout the week.
