
Ireland is expected to experience a mix of warm daytime weather and near-freezing temperatures at night this week, according to Met Éireann.
The national forecaster has outlined conditions for the days ahead, with highs of up to 19C and overnight lows dipping to around 1C, reports The Mirror.
This shift comes as high pressure settles over the country, bringing largely dry and bright weather following a period of unsettled conditions. The week will begin somewhat breezy before winds ease and temperatures gradually climb.
Monday, April 20
Today will be mostly dry with sunny intervals and only a slight chance of a light shower. After a cool and crisp start, temperatures could rise to around 17C in the southwest in light to moderate easterly winds, reports The Mirror.
Overnight, temperatures may fall to as low as 1C, with a few scattered showers moving in from the east, mainly affecting northern areas.
Tuesday, April 21
Tuesday will turn breezier, with easterly winds becoming moderate to fresh. Conditions will remain largely dry with sunny spells and occasional light showers, although cloud will build at times in the southwest, reports The Mirror.
Daytime temperatures are expected to range from 10C to 14C, before dropping to between 3C and 7C overnight.
Wednesday, April 22
Conditions midweek will stay mostly dry, with good sunshine in many areas, although the southwest may see increased cloud and a few light showers, reports The Mirror.
Temperatures will range from 11C to 14C during the day, before cooling to around 5C overnight, with the lowest readings in Ulster.
Thursday, April 23
Temperatures will begin to rise as the week progresses, with Thursday feeling milder and highs reaching about 16C in places, reports The Mirror.
Friday, April 24
Friday is expected to be warmer again, with temperatures climbing to around 19C in generally light south-easterly winds, though eastern and southern coastal areas may feel slightly cooler.
