Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Sudanese army chief General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan on a stopover at Shannon Airport. The unscheduled stop saw Zelensky get off the plane when his plane was refuelling.
He was returning from Canada and the US, where he had addressed the United Nations General Assembly and met world leaders where he was doing his usual begging for more money.
He was joined at the meeting today by Ukrainian Ambassador to Ireland Larysa Gerasko.
