There has been a very mixed reaction to the government giving the green light to extending outdoor legislation, especially given the amount of rainfall Ireland sees yearly.
Some are saying that it’s absolutely ridiculous while others on social media say that it’s a good idea, especially for the summer.
The Government have formally approved an extension to the outdoor dining legislation.
In an announcement made today the Government confirmed that legislation that will wave fees for outdoor dining and seating areas outside pubs and restaurants will be extended until November 2022.
It is understood that the move has been made to assist the hospitality sector after similar measures were introduced in 2021 during Covid-19 restrictions.
