Irish athletes will be given the Covid-19 vaccine before the start of this summer’s games it has been announced.
The news comes after the International Olympic Committee reached an agreement with Pfizer to supply athletes with vaccines.
It’s understood that the Irish teams will be given the vaccine a number of weeks before the games are due to begin.
The allocation of vaccines will not come from the national supply but instead they will come from a supplementary supply.
