The Irish Blood Donation Service (IBTS) has released a statement to say that at least 10,000 donors are needed before the end of this year, to guarantee supply.

According to the IBTS, stocks for certain blood groups have fallen to just four days.

There will be extra clinics available on Sunday, December 18, at the following locations: Dunshaughlin, Carlow, Perrystown (Dublin), Scariff and Roscommon.
