A man in his early 20s went missing this afternoon in north Clare when he failed to return to a tour bus he was travelling on.
The coach had stopped on the coast road at Ballyreen between Fanore and Lisdoonvarna just after noon for the group to view the popular area.
The alarm was raised at around 2.30pm and a search was launched when the man failed to return to the bus.
Doolin Coast Guard stood down the search at 5pm and will resume at first light.
