The Irish Government owes over €41m in unpaid fees to hotels and other hospitality venues for housing refugees, it has emerged today.
In other words, while the Government took in tens of thousands of refugees to virtue signal in front of European leaders, it got someone else to actually house the refugees and then stiffed the accommodation providers with the bills.
The Government has admitted to ‘backlogs’ in issuing payments.
