Irish author Louise O’Neill has had her hit novel ‘Only Ever Yours’ snapped up by Killer Content. The company plans to produce a film and TV series.

‘Only Ever Yours’ is a dystopian novel which highlights the pressures young girls feel to strive for perfection.

O’Neill was clearly over the moon with the news tweeting: “And if you’re wondering why I’m in New York, it’s to attend a party IN MY HONOUR. ON A YACHT.”

Killer Content is working with nonprofit Two Brass Brads to finance the production. The book received the ‘Best Newcomer Award’ at the Irish Book Awards in 2014.

O’Neill’s second novel, ’Asking For It’, was published this month and explores rape culture in a small town in Ireland.
