Irish tourism has received yet another boost after Dunbrody Country House Hotel in Co. Wexford was named the world’s number one Luxury Country House Hotel.
The hotel was named number one by online travel bible, Luxury Travel Guide, who are renowned for their evaluation of hotels across globe. Dunbrody Country House which is operated by husband and wife team, Kevin and Catherine, received critical acclaim for its “authentic charm, relaxed ambience and top class dining experience”.
Speaking about winning the prestigious award, Kevin Dundon, owner of the hotel and one of Ireland’s leading celebrity chefs, said: “Since opening our doors in 1997, Catherine and I have strived to deliver excellence in all we do here at Dunbrody House. “This award will hopefully focus increased interest in the Hook Peninsula, an idyllic part of the country. It marks the start of an exciting year ahead for us and our team at the hotel.”
