The merry-go-round of wastage and inefficiency that has been Irish Water since its very inception continues today, as news of a referendum on public ownership are announced.
U-turn after u-turn, Fianna Fail now says that they will back a referendum on private ownership for the utility.
But such position will put Fianna Fail in a direct collision course with its Government partners, Fine Gael et al.
Most TDs from other political allegiances back such referendum.
The referendum bill will be up for a vote in the Dáil on Thursday.
