The current hosepipe ban looks set to continue as Irish Water say there has been enough rainfall in recent weeks.
It is understood that Irish Water will extend the hosepipe ban until next month despite heavy rainfall in recent weeks.
Irish Water say that although there was some heavy rainfall in recent weeks, unfortunately it isn’t enough to bring water supplies back to normal levels.
The utility added that the public should conserve water supplies whenever they can as levels have significantly dropped in recent months.
