The Irishman died after being injured in a motorcycle accident in Vietnam in late April, reports RTE.
Damien Horgan, from Doneraile, Co. Cork, was in intensive care at Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh after sustaining serious injuries in the accident.
He has been working as an English teacher in Vietnam for four years, reports RTE.
GoFundMe, organized to pay for medical treatment in Vietnam, has raised over €115,000.
Mr Horgan’s sister updated the page in recent days, reporting that his condition had worsened due to various complications, reports RTE.
