The former Tanaiste and Labour Party TD Joan Burton, has revealed that her home was broken into whilst she was ironically attending a meeting to discuss crime in her community.
According to The Irish Daily Mail, Ms Burton’s home was broken into on Monday evening at approximatley 8pm, although Ms Burton wasn’t in her at the time of the burglary, the paper has since revealed that she was attended a community meeting in her constituency of Hartstown, to discuss ongoing crime in the area.
Gardai investigating the break in which occurred on the Old Cabra Road, have confirmed that a woman aged in her 40s was arrested and charged shortly after the incident.
The Irish Daily Mail, say the former Tanaiste was left shocked by the incident especially given its timing.
