A teenage IS bride who has given birth to a baby boy at a Syrian regugee camp, has said that “people should have sympathy for her”.

In an interview with Sky News, the woman who has become international news in recent days, Shamima Begum has said that she should be allowed to return to the UK.

Speaking to the broadcaster in an in-depth interview, Ms Begum who left the UK at the age of 15 to marry an ISIS fighter, said that British authorities have no evidence that she has done anything wrong and therefore she shouldn’t be considered a security threat.

Ms Begum, who claimed that she was just a housewife over the past four years, also told Sky News that she couldn’t see any reason as to why her new son would be taken off her – if she were to return to the UK.

The teenager also claimed that although she knew about executions and beheadings by ISIS forces, she said she was okay with it as Islam allowed it.

Ms Begum who is pleading with the British Government to bring her home, also told the broadcaster that she was radicalised by watching videos on the Internet when she was 15 and doesn’t regret what she had done.

However despite public outcry in the UK that Ms Begum could be considered a security threat, the teenager now 19, believes that they should have sympathy for her given what she has been through.

She added that her experience made her stronger and is hoping to return home with her son in order to give him a better life.
