A suicide bomber in the Afghan capital Kabul has killed almost 60 people and injured over 120 others a voter registration centre.
The Islamic State that is based out of Syria and Iraq has claimed responsibility for the atrocity. The attack is an attempt to disrupt the long delayed parliamentary elections in the war-torn country.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has been eager to see the elections go through with significant pressure from the U.S and NATO, for a successful vote bearing down on him.
The Western coalition still maintain a significant presence in the country and seek to establish a legitimate and stable government.
