Many social media users are claiming that there’s a sinister reason behind the government’s apparent lack of will to do anything in relation to the out-of-control fuel prices is, in fact, an indirect route for people to buy electric cars.
It’s obviously all speculation and obviously conspiratorial, but nevertheless, it’s not stopping social media from seeing a growing trend of comments and threads that this is the case.
People are querying just how much the government is getting from tax from each individual fuel sale. Alongside that, people want to know why filling stations get filled every 5 to 7 days, yet appear to be able to change their prices on a whim.
