Things are looking increasingly difficult for the pubs and restaurant industry to get back up to par to pre-covid levels, as guidelines will make it nearly impossible for many to reopen.
Social distancing measures will reduce capacity in pubs and restaurants by as much as 87%, according to a new report.
The report, published by the Licensed Vintners Association (LVA) and the Vintners Federation of Ireland (VFI), states that the capacity will be reduced to as little as one-eighth of what it was before Covid-19 hit.
Many pubs and restaurants are facing an uphill financial battle in the weeks and months ahead, with some permanent closures all but inevitable.
