The Green Party’s Eamon Ryan miraculously recovered from covid overnight, by the looks of things, so that he could make his much anticipated trip to Glasgow to talk about climate change.
Ryan announced that tested positive for covid on Saturday night, while Sunday he announced that had taken a second covid test, as advised by the HSE and that it tested negative.
He claims that it’s not a “one rule for them and another for us” situation and that he got no special treatment so that he could go to Scotland.
However, many people feel that that is not the case and that Ryan did indeed get special treatment to travel to Scotland and that had it been anyone else that they’d have to accept the first test and self-isolate for 10 days.
One social media user said:
“It’s utterly disgusting to see how Ryan has played the system to suit himself and how so many people around the country have missed so much because they’ve had to self-isolate. He’s a disgrace and this sort of control over people and special treatment for some is dreadful.”
