This morning, Ireland is waking up to a broad range of circumstances, with some regions still feeling the impacts of the great freeze and others seeing temperatures that are noticeably higher than they have been in recent days, reports The Mirror.
The UK is experiencing a massive 14C temperature fluctuation, with some regions in the south reaching highs of 7C at the same time as other sections of the Midlands dropped as low as -7C this morning.
Showery weather and rain are expected over the weekend as warmer air moves in after the cold spell. However, reports of further snowfall this morning have already been made in places like Limerick and Tipperary, reports The Mirror.

Highest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees generally but not as cold in the southwest with moderate to fresh east to southeast winds developing,” reports The Mirror.
“A cloudy night with outbreaks of rain spreading further northeastwards, turning to sleet or snow on high ground. Not as cold as previous nights with lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees in light to moderate southeast winds, fresh in the west and northwest,” reports The Mirror.
