“It’s ridiculous” – Mixed reactions to NPHET demanding that children should not meet up for the next two weeks at least

Many people on social media feel that NPHET are putting their foot down just a little too hard on children, especially given the time of year with Christmas parties, Nativity plays and other Christmas outings that obviously only happen at this time of year.

NPHET, Ireland’s leading force in helping to impose draconian restrictions on the Irish people, even though they’re completely unelected and are just “advising” the government – take from that what you will.

Either way, the national public health emergency team has advised that children aged between 5 and 11 are now making up a very large portion of the daily covid case number.

Its advised the government that children should not have play dates for the next two weeks at least with children in 3rd class onwards now demanded to wear face masks in school, public transport and retail shops.
