An 81-yr-old granny has been praised from a height for fending off a would-be robber who tried to take her ATM cash withdrawal.
Doreen Jones thankfully managed to fight off a mugger who tried to take her pension as she withdrew it from a cashpoint.
The granny, from the West Midlands, told BBC Crimewatch that she was targeted by a woman who seemed to be begging for food.
When Doreen went to take her cash from the ATM, the woman who pretended to be a begger, lunged towards her and tried to grab her cash. Mrs Jones told the BBC that she thought to herself, ‘No, you’re not having my money, I’ve worked hard for that.’
The footage below shows the pensioner defending herself against the woman, who ran off after being pushed away. Meanwhile, two men can be seen standing idly by doing absolutely nothing.
