A large number of Portuguese Man o’war jellyfish have washed ashore across a number of Irish beaches.
The creatures have been spotted on Inch and Ballybunion beaches in Co. Kerry, and also down on a beach in West Cork.
A similarly large number of Man o’war jellyfish were found on a number of beaches in recent times.
Man o’war are a highly venomous species that are known to cause fatalities, so people are advised to stay well away.
