A total of 446 admitted patients are currently waiting for beds in hospitals across Ireland on Friday morning, reports Breaking News.
University Hospital Limerick leads the pack with 100 patients, followed by University Hospital Galway with 58 and Sligo University Hospital with 45.
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), 294 of the patients are in emergency departments, while the remaining 152 are in wards, reports Breaking News.
