The first of the Creeslough victims’ funerals will take place today. It will be that of 24-yr-old Jessica Gallagher.
It’s understood that Martin McGill’s funeral will take place tomorrow, Wednesday. Other funerals are being organised as the days go by.
Father John Joe Duffy said people are in complete shock. He said that community are only beginning to come to terms with what actually happened.
“The enormity of the tragedy is becoming clearer and clearer,” Fr John Joe said, reports RTE.
“As the first victim of the tragedy was brought home you saw people along the road and candles being lit along the road, and when you saw a beautiful young person coming home, it just began more and more to dawn on people.”
The entire community is said to be coming together and helping each other get through the tragedy.
