Canadian company Optel Vision is establishing their European headquarters in Limerick it has been confirmed.
The company manufacturers specialist inspection systems for packaging lines mainly for the pharmaceutical and medical sectors.
The company has a presence in 15 countries around the world, but the IDA said this will be the second most significant.
The company which will have their office at Raheen Business Park will be seeking to hire 140 people.
