Comedian, podcast host, and mixed martial arts commentator Joe Rogan has struck a blow against tech giants Google and Apple after announcing that his hugely popular YouTube podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience will move exclusively to Spotify.
JRE has 8.4 million subscribers on Google-owned YouTube but the reluctant cultural influencer has said that Google censorship, particularly of doctors questioning the official narrative pushed by the mainstream media regarding the Covid-19 virus has prompted this move.
YouTube and other social media giants have begun censoring doctors and other experts questioning the official narrative surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic as given by the World Health Organisation including Ireland’s own Professor Dolores Cahill.
The $100 million deal will come as blow to Google as well as Apple as Rogan’s popularity and clout continuing to rise and with the MMA expert allegedly telling his friend and fellow internet titan Alex Jones that the “gloves are off” and he is “going to war” against Google and big tech over censorship.
Rogan has often provoked the ire of the mainstream media and the establishment with this move and his recent comments calling ‘Obamagate’, (the allegations that former President Barack Obama weaponised the FBI against Donald Trump, essentially an act of treason), real, likely to provoke a torrent of hatred and character assassination attempts against him.
