
A man accused of killing his baby son almost five years ago has been found guilty murder in court this afternoon.

According to RTE News the man John Tighe, 40, from Lavallyroe, Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, was found guilty of murder by a jury of his peers within 32 minutes this afternoon
Mr Tighe who is due to be sentenced later today had repeatedly denied murdering his six-and-a-half-month-old son Joshua Sussbier Tighe on the 1st June 2013.
The guilty verdict comes after the tiny infant died from suffocation after a cloth, believed to be a baby wipe was found lodged in his throat.
It is expected Mr Tighe will be sentenced to life in prison for the horrific crime.
