The Chief Executive of the HSE Paul Reid has said the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine will be rolled out immediately if it is approved.
Speaking about the vaccine Reid said that he is hopeful that it will be approved for use as it is an important tool in our vaccination programme.
Reid said that the 600,000 doses due for this quarter would go along way in achieving our targets.
The HSE Chief’s comments come as NIAC are expected to give their decision over the use of the vaccine this week.
If approved it is expected that 40,000 doses would be administered this week.
