Jono Carroll’s bid to become IBF Super-Featherweight champion has ended in a spirited defeat as he was beaten by Tevin Farmer in Philadelphia tonight.
In a fight that will be remembered for sheer will and determination, Jono Carroll did himself proud as he went the distance with the home favourite.
Carroll who absorbed a lot of punches throughout the 12 rounds ultimately came up short as farmer took victory after the final bell.
Although Carroll was well down on the scorecards in the end, his desire and energy to go the distance with Farmer has to be applauded.
